None at all. Our kits arrive fully colonized — you just cut the marked window, mist a few times a day, and harvest in 1–2 weeks. If you can water a houseplant, you can do this.
Most kits produce 2–4 flushes. After your first harvest, rest and rehydrate the block and you’ll usually get a second and third round.
A grow kit is ready to fruit. Grain spawn is colonized grain you mix into bulk substrate. Liquid culture is a syringe of living culture you use to start grows from scratch. Kits are easiest; culture is most advanced.

We ship cultivation supplies across the continental US. Fresh mushrooms are local pickup or Front Range delivery only.

For health and safety reasons we can’t accept returns on living or consumable products, but the live arrival guarantee covers arrival issues. Unopened equipment can be returned within 30 days.
